My doctor assured me there was nothing he could do for my neuropathy. He offered little hope for relief, essentially suggesting I adapt to chronic pain.
He just kept prescribing me a bunch of painkillers.
I couldn’t believe that in today’s day and age – with all the technological advancements – there wasn’t a way to finally eliminate the burning and tingling in my feet.
So, I took matters into my own hands and began searching for an alternative solution.
Thankfully, my search led me to someone promising.
He was an expert on neuropathy that my coworker recommended.
Intrigued by his promise, I scheduled a consultation. After a brief introduction, he launched into an explanation of the underlying cause of my neuropathy.
The first words out of his mouth stunned me:
It turns out that, just like every other cell in our body, the nerve cells in our feet need an ongoing oxygen supply to function effectively.
We breathe in oxygen, and it travels from the lungs to the heart, where it hitches a ride on red blood cells to reach all corners of the body.
This system works perfectly until we get older.
That’s because normal aging causes a reduction in circulation – which results in less oxygen reaching the extremities, especially the feet.
The less blood flow there is to the feet, the harder it becomes for the body to deliver enough oxygen to the nerves. This can cause problems, especially for the nerves in your feet.
This gets even WORSE if you have conditions like diabetes because excess blood sugar decreases the elasticity of blood vessels and causes them to narrow.
…Which further impedes blood flow.
This starves nerves of oxygen, causing burning pain, tingling, and numbness.
When the nerves in your feet don’t get enough oxygen from the blood, they can’t function properly, resulting in pain and numbness.
Many doctors prescribe medications like Gabapentin or Lyrica for neuropathy, but they’re not addressing the root cause.
Here’s why: Medications do nothing to prevent the death of your nerve cells, they merely dull the pain.
As the expert on neuropathy explained…
It’s like if your car engine was making noise because it’s low on oil – turning up the radio would block the sound, but the underlying issue would still be there, growing worse.
All you are doing is ignoring the true issue at hand.
Pain and tingling are warning signs your body is sending you…
…Before it’s too late, you should stop neglecting them!
As the expert explained, when nerves don’t get enough oxygen, they cause burning and tingling. And when they die completely, they simply become numb.
So if you are still feeling burning and tingling, it means that your nerves aren’t entirely dead.
Why does this matter?
Well, the National Institute of Health states:
So you may still be able to alleviate the symptoms of neuropathy, as long as your nerves are not completely damaged!
The key is to increase blood flow in the feet.
Delivering more oxygen to your nerve cells can significantly improve the symptoms of neuropathy…
But how do you do it?
Traditional medicine might suggest increasing circulation through exercise.
But exercise can be tough when you’re in pain.
So… what’s the answer?
Grounded Footwear, a company focused on foot health, uses cutting-edge barefoot shoe technology to address pain caused by neuropathy.
Their shoes are designed to support natural foot movement and alignment. The wide toe box prevents crowding and cramping of the nerves, while the zero-drop sole promotes proper posture and alignment of the feet, legs, and back.
This innovative design helps maintain proper foot and body posture, meaning you can stay on your feet longer before tiring.
This helps you move more naturally, and through increased movement, you can improve blood circulation and promote the vital flow of oxygen to your nerves.
With increased oxygen reaching your nerves, they can begin to repair and heal, ultimately reducing the burning pain, tingling, and numbness associated with neuropathy.
Grounded Footwear empowered me to get back to my nursing job, free from the limitations of constant foot pain and swelling…
After just a few weeks of wearing Grounded Barefoot Shoes, my neuropathic pain started to improve and the tingling sensation that had bothered me for years began to fade.
I couldn’t believe it! Finally, after so much suffering, I was finding relief.
Today, I am able to stand for my entire nursing shift, walk without difficulty, and even sleep through the night without experiencing terrible pain. I’m also much more relaxed throughout the day, likely because of the improved circulation and natural foot movement.
And I can’t wait to make up for all the time I lost dreading to move or relying on painkillers just to get through the day.
The best part about Grounded Barefoot Shoes is that they’re so simple to use:
Grounded Barefoot Shoes might feel a bit different at first, but most people report they get used to them in about a day. If you feel discomfort, at first wear them for a few hours per day, and after several days you can wear them constantly.
Remember, it’s encouraged to wear them throughout the day. The breathable material, moisture-wicking technology, and lightweight design will help make sure your feet feel fresh.
I was a bit worried about wearing them every day during my nursing shifts, but another great feature is the temperature-regulating material used in these shoes.
They’re made with breathable materials together with moisture-wicking technology and anti-bacterial properties, which help keep your feet cool, reduce sweating and unpleasant odors. I got several pairs anyway, so that I can wear them at home and at work.

After a long day at work, I used to feel like my feet were on fire. The tops of my feet burned so much that I’d have to put ice packs on them just to fall asleep. Since trying Grounded Shoes, I can actually feel my toes again, the cramps are gone, and best part no more burning. I can finally sleep without needing ice packs. These shoes have made all the difference and I’m finally back on my feet at work.

As a nurse, I’m used to being on my feet all day, but neuropathy made it unbearable. After trying Grounded Barefoot Shoes, my feet have returned to their normal size. The pins and needles have eased, the hyper-sensitivity is gone, and I can get through my shift without my feet screaming in pain. I never thought a pair of shoes could feel this good.

I can’t believe the pain was reduced so fast! As a chef, I thought I’d just have to live with the pain, but Grounded Shoes let me work pain-free for the first time in years. Truly the first real relief I’ve felt since my neuropathy started.

Everything about this experience was perfect. The delivery was very quick, and as soon as I put the footwear on my feet and stood up it was like magic shoes. I wore them the first day all day walking and on my feet at least 8 hours, no discomfort at all. They are well worth the money!

Wow, they look amazing! Has anyone actually used these insoles and can share their experience?
Sophi@L.
I've tried several different pairs of insoles. These BY FAR are the absolute best. I am on the heavier side, and they do not collapse due to weight. I was literally feeling every step I took in my heel to the point of trying not to walk. These within two days of wearing took all the pressure off my heel.

The problem with most over-the-counter orthotics is that they’re just not stiff enough. Yes, there’s a nice, supportive curve under the arch but it flexes under weight. These are better. I suppose it’s because they’re made for far more weight than I can apply, they actually hold my arches up and help prevent them from collapsing inwards. This eases the strain on my Achilles tendons, calves, knees, quads and lower back. The other insoles helped but these are a noticeable step more effective. Even if I’m scrawny, they’re the ones for me! 💯

These are exactly what I’ve been looking for! 😍 I’ve tried several brands and not much luck. I was hesitant to order online since I couldn’t physically see and feel them before I bought them but I gave it a shot. If you’re like me and have flat feet and are starting to have problems with your ankles and legs then give these a shot. They are still squishy but also very firm.

Before buying these I felt like I was walking on concrete in steel toes and my heels hurt. I've tried so many insoles and they didn't have enough support or cushion. Now, I go all day with less pain.
